I have a quick question. I was wondering if Hyundai uses any GM engines and if so, which ones are they? I am asking this because I drive a korean car and it uses a GM engine and I am wondering if Hyundai uses any GM engines as it may make it easier for me to get aftermarket parts for my car.

Hyundai shares/shared some engines over the years, mostly with Mitsubishi and Chrysler. The new 2.4 is used by several brands I think. But as far as I know, no GM engines are used.

I think the GM/Korean connection is with Daiwoo (sp) not Hyundai .

There used to be a Ford/Kia connection years ago.....Ford Fiesta and the Ford Aspire???

The GM/Daewoo connection went back to the 1980's vintage Pontiac LeMans if i remember right.

I think Ford and Kia still do have a connection in Europe , Australia, and a couple of other countries. I know Ford is in with Mazda big time.
As for GM, yes there was the Daewoo LeMans. Isn't the Aveo related to the Suzuki Aerio as the Geo Metro and Tracker were related to Suzuki? The Storm and Spectrum were Isuzu and later the Prizm was a Toyoda. This is all from memory and I could wrong on some.
:)
I am assuming that jurupa has an Aveo
