Hello friends

My current car is a 7-yr old Hyundai Accent and I'm looking forward to replace it (BTW, I'm in the UK, South East England). It was ok so far but had suffered some niggling ECU problems (I bought it outside warranty).

Getz is among the shortlisted ones which I'm considering buying.

I am looking forward to buy a 1-yr old 1.4 GSI or CDX model (5-door)

However, I've few questions.

I understand that Hyundai offers 5-yr warranty in the UK. But what is the extent of the cover? In their website, they said brake/clutch/lights etc. are not covered after 2 years.

Do they cover things like ABS, immobiliser, AC, electric windows etc. for full 5 years?

I have read reviews (yet to take a test drive) of Getz and though people are generally happy with it but many complaint about squeaky brakes, too much clutch wear etc.

What is your ownership experience of Getz? Did you have to claim anything during warranty? Are the dealers helpful? How much does it cost to service Getz?

Any other info you feel that I should aware of before the final decision.

Squeaky brakes are on the pre facelift models-Moduified brakes shoes were required.

The only thing is a 1.4 is an ECU mod if required(starting from cold problem).

Hi is there a way to disable the Immobiliser from my Getz 2003? I lost the original key, the only one it started it and now I've only got a cut one and obviously the car doesn't start. I heard some persons once saying that they disabled their immobiliser so that all keys worked but I don't know how. Any help will be appreciated...
