here is my problem. I have 98 sonata. Most of the times When it is on park i can't put it on d or r or any other. I can't press the button on the Shift knob. What can i do for solve this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

a electric solenoid releases the g-lever lock, when stepping on the brake. there seem to be a problem with that circuit, and your dealer should be able to fix it quickly.
In the meen time, in front of the gear selector slot is a small round disc, covering the emergancy release. you pry the little cover with a pin-like object out and insert a thin rod or screw driver, and push a lever while pressing on the button at the G-lever.
