I've been a member since March I do believe and this is the worst I've seen this forum. Mods don't you make money off this forum? If I was a new reader I'd think why go there? Members attacking other members, why post? Why be here? I don't want to get into a Kokanee match with anyone but guys we're/you're here to help others. Knowledge, experience and first and foremost ANSWERS. Not insults or attacks. Who cares how much someone has had to drink or if they just smoked a joint and forgot their last post? At least they're off the road. No offense Willay. Hope all is going well and Jackie Chan is defending you, you'll be free soon. Activity breeds activity but not this kind.

If you are referring to me asking mamamia how much drinkin had been going on tonight it was simply a joke and I believe mama took it in correct context.

I do although see what you are saying.

Im really upset you made fun of the carwash posts.... Actually Im not, but it was a free shot lol.

Every forum has this happen now and then, usually its just ruffled feathers from a misunderstanding, or two (or more) members who are friends and teasing one another.

Silk and I got into it a couple times, but no harm-no foul.
Yeah, Im still around ol buddy... just been way too busy with work, but Ill be back once I start the new job.

I think the forum has been taking on trolls lately. No names, you know who you are.

If you read through their posts, they're mostly about pi$$ing higher than everyone else and make sure they come out on top. Because that makes them feel better. maybe because Mom and Pop said that's what's important in life. Whatever.

These members WANT the heated exchange - they live off of it. They claim to hand us the truth as it is and nothing you say or think can possibly debunk what they say. That's some REAL value right there.

It reminds me of a member over a year ago who always got into "spirited" exchanges with just about everyone else. One day, he disappears - I'm guessing he took his business to other boards. I hate to say this but I'm glad he's gone.

Now don't get me wrong - I always leave room for disagreements and the occasional "my nuts are bigger than yours" contest. I look forward to the jokes and useless banter. I also believe these can live alongside a lot of useful information that's beneficial to everyone.

I think the board's been doing great. Craig, hang in there. Silkee and Mama are going to see you through this one. LOL!

I commented on this in the Jackstand thread. I agree 100%. When I first came on this board, It was by far the most civil "net" board I have ever been on. Now it's becoming like any other. A shame indeed.

Craig,

Many times people say outrageous things because they want attention. The worst thing you can do is to give it to them by reacting to their remarks.

Other times, some of us say outrageous things because we are friends and we act exactly the way friends do in the real world. That includes the occasional friendly disagreements and frisky outbursts. You would have to go back a long way on this forum to put things in their true context. I don't think I would change too much about this forum. If you take away ALL of the non-Sonata talk, you end up with a bland, cold, humorless forum.

Rule of thumb I use is, "when in doubt, chill out". Things usually blow over real quick, without any complaints or intervention by the adults. Fageddaboudit!

Yes, we get crazy sometimes, and just come here for fun when nothing better to do... Like having friends for a drink and a casual chat.

And we do fight sometimes, like any friends and colleagues.

BUT this board has another IMPORTANT function, and that's being a credible source of information and reference for FUTURE Sonata owners and even more important, POTENTIAL BUYERS.

That's why, for instance, I took he extra effort (with Madder's help) to create reference sources like "the good, the bad and the ugly" dealers when it comes to their service dept.... That's invaluable information for "future generations" of Sonata owners, at least IMHO.

Still, this is the most active, intensive and attentive Sonata board on the net, at least from what I see.

And that's thanks to US, the 10-12 loyal lovers.

Since all of this is in no way related to the Sonata I'm moving it to the "Board Questions, Feedback and Suggestions" section.

There are ~56 other forums on here and this happens from time-to-time in all of them. Not only on this site but on any site/forum you go to.

For joking around and whatnot there has to be some lenience, if there's not then people will get fed-up with the strictness and go elsewhere. On the other hand, as it says in the Forum Rules, personal attacks will not be tolerated at all. If something like that is going on then use the "Report to Moderator" feature.

There's only five Mods and one Admin on here, all living in different timezones and in different parts of the world. We can't be here 24x7 pruning all of the forums.

Just remember the Golden Rule.

@ Craig - Mods make money off this forum ? You were being sarcastic, right ?

just to endorse what 'madderhatter' has posted. if any member has got any gripes about another member or any other matter on the forum report it to a moderator directly. as 'madderhatter' said there is provision on the forum to do this. any personal attacks on other members will be dealt with (and have been many times in the past)

'mamamia' l have also edited your above post as l consider it was in very poor taste to put it mildly
