When I read the site without logging on, this website link appears on the words "air intake" in my thread. http://www.globalautoshop.com/performance/...mance_index.htmThey are asking $139 +$12 shipping for the 2006/2007 Accent 1.5/1.6l i4. Will it be the same as the dealer version?

QUOTE(o0kat0o @ Jun 21 2007, 03:14 AM) looks different then the one i purchased from hyundai--but i bet the picture i see on the site isnt the same intake..
i took a shot and ordered the kit. after emailing them a foto of the first post in this thread (dealer model), they said theirs is "all good" and would work. does not....it's for the 2000-2005 model years, has soft single curve that'd be great on my wife's 2004 (too late, done already), but no way on the '07. i emailed back this info w/pics attached and will return what i received. i also let them know if they can fabricate one on the dealer's specs for $130, they'd have buyers here.

If you look at the next item, their "Supercharger", I would be leary as to the quality of any item purchased from this dealer. Come on, anyone selling an electric fan as a supercharger has to be suspect. Just my two cents. You get what you pay for, Mikey

Ok people, if you look a little harder on the forum you'll see my car or a link to my website, which I hace posted pictures, links, prices of all these aftermarket items for the cars. If you have any questions feel free to post them on the forum for otehr to read as well. I'll be adding another item to my website tonight. Powerchipusa.com now has a ECU upgrade for our cars. What kind of power you ask, well lets just say I took a Nissian Sentra and well he watched my tail lights. As for the Short Air / Ram air deal, I believe we've talked about that as well on this forum. The item is a Short Air intake with a heat shield and ecu mount bracket. It also holds the intake as well so that it doesn't just hang there, (Look under the intake under the second bend from the engine). Presently jsut about every item out there is Canadian Dealership only items, but like tooslo has said you can make a lot of them yourself. But the coolest part of the dealer items is that up here in Canada the items are still covered under your warrenty. My website link My Garage

just signed up. read some threads here before i bought my car a week or so ago. anyways, i too am awaiting mileage results info from this thread as mileage is a key reason i just switched from a 2000 subaru legacy outback limited to my canadian accent sport. (which is different from us models.) hopped over to ebay and found that the hyundai offered part seems cheapest there: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-2007-H...sspagenameZWD1Vbut also found another aftermarket part for a lot less money that sounds decent in theory... mandrel bent with a cleanable Foam filter vs. paper or cotton. i got to thinking about my old neighbours racing dirt bikes - all use foam filters... so they must be good at trapping a lot of dirt/dust once lubricated with the sticky stuff you squish into them by hand... so why not use a foam one on a car too? sounds logical to me... or am i way off base here? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Weapon-R-se...sspagenameZWD1Vthoughts? i'm not going to modify anything until i get more feedback from here, especially on mileage figures, as i drove 40k kms last year for work (mostly highway) & want to minimize my fuel cost this time around. (seeing as we have the highest fuel prices on the continent)
