Ok I was sitting at a light on a hill and tried to take off. The engine revved up to about 3000 rpm and the car crawled up the hill at about 20klms. I could smell burning clutch. Stopped the car up the road and it wouldn't change down into 1st gear, apparently the car when stopped wouldn't change down and it was emitting this smell due to the fact it was taking off in 2nd gear. I shut the car down and the problem went away for about 5 klms then it came back as the car refused to go into 1st gear again. Anyway I shut it down and started it later and have no problems for the last 2 days, but I haven't taken on any hills as yet. I will be taking it back to the dealer as the tranny was also making loud clunking noises when it finally went into 1st gear. It is a 2003 1.5l 5 dr auto and has only done 20,000 klms and to say I am pissed off is an understatement......
