My wife Terracan was hit by another car on the left front side. After repairing it, we get a strong smell of exhaust gases coming from the air conditioning.
Does anyone have a similar experience?
I don't know where the fresh air intake is, or where is the inside air intake, or the flow circuit of the air conditioning, so my question is "Is it possible that exhaust gases can get into the air conditioning air flow?"

Any help would be appreciatted

Air intake for ventilation and climat system placed behind black plastic grille lower windshield glass. Very difficult to suck exhaust gases at this place.

If the HVAC system is set to recirculate mode and exhaust is getting into the passenger compartment then I could see this happening. Get it looked at right away. Carbon monoxide posioning is nothing to play with.
