I have my Jet for 4 years now. The years of ownership will tell you how I love my Jet so far...I have tested or seen many MPV but none can pass the space that the Jet gives. I have 3 kids (teens) and when they are on my Jet, they are seated comfortably without any complaints at all. They even play cards in it when we go for long trips. Apart from space, I like the relative cheap spareparts which I can get from my local stockist and suprisingly, after 4 years of owning, apart from normal maintainance...there hasn't being any major breakdown or faults occur (touch wood). :amen:

So, I hope the rest of you enjoy and love your Jet as much as I do and hopefully Hyundai will produce an updated Jet soon... :)

Hi All

I have my jet for almost two years now . I and my wife and six kids love it .

In Jordan the new jet cost 35,000 usd . I had mine used from Korea for

20,000 usd . So far changed 2 C.V boots and output sensor . The jet is

a second car to me . The sophistication of electronics in the new engines came

as a shock to me . From day one I had to do my homework right and study

and analyze how sensors operate and try to understand as much as I can

how things work . I can not accept the idea that if some thing is wrong

I can not tell what it is . I think the jet is number one here in MVPs .

Soon I will install a Cellular Alarm to the jet to have a link of communication

with it . The wires are out and ready .

Attached Imagethought i better add some more , with having 2 teenage girls who maon theres never enough room , i findthe trajet great , even when pulling up hills with a full load. We use it for camping (as we are in the local scout group and iam a District Advisor) its great even in reviews on MPV's TRajet does not suffer from the engine probs ,tyre wear and tear that other mpv's do.
The trajet is not the most popular MPV here its a toss between the peugeot 807 and ford galaxy with kia sedona comming in 2nd , the trajet is quite under powered according to reviews but i dont have any problems with it .
As you can see my Trajet is a 2006 standard 2LTR GSI Auto as i can not modify it as its on the motorbility scheme as iam disabled ,only mod i got is a hoist for my scooter so thats not really a mod hahahaha , but i would like tinted windows on it but they said no :(

Hi and thanks for visiting my garage :)

as a father of four, the jet is the one and only car for me, cause of space and price. I am so satisfied, that the silver one is my second Jet. first one was a 2001 Diesel, and now a 2006 CVVT. The tinted glasses where a bonus of Hyundai Germany cause of worldcup 2006 in Germany.

Unfortunately, my jets had all of build in Gremlins :P broken abs-rings, roof bar corrision, broken turbo (first jet), noise from front window ... but everything fixed by my local dealer for free. right now, my jet is flying like a concorde :) on lpg. I`m still satisfied about this great car.

Greetings

Jens

Thought of some more things to add ,
heres a link to Aussie
http://www.productreview.com.au/showitem.p...id=2910#REVIEWS
Their views on the car, iam getting about 30 31 mpg on a run and 20to25 miles per gallon urban ,just wanted to know what do you all get on yours , and if you could what would you do and if you redesign it what would you put on it.

Hi,

i get a pretty poor diesel mileage with my jet, compared to a couple of competitors, so that is what i would want them to change in the first place (make the car lighter and put in a better engine).

second point is the behaviour of the diesel engine, at specific revs it shakes and sounds like ****. seems to me that the trajet was constructed (and fitted with noise insulation) only for use with petrol engines.

third, and that point was supported by a recent quality survey in German paper AutoBild: the rather poor quality of interior materials - especially the cheap looking plastics everywhere, and several noises especially during hot weather, in my case from inside the drivers door and from somewhere in the rear.

apart from that it's a great car, i did not have any problem in one year of ownership now.

I couldn't agree more. It is the best 7 seater around. I have elderly parents that say even a limo cannot be more comfortable. It is so economical I can drive 1000km's on a tank of diesel and with the price of diesel that is a lot of saving. The children loves the car as well. No break down or problems in 42 662km's except for non-standard tyres. Thank you Hyundai.

The best car i have ever had. (in 25 years) I sold all my other cars after about 2 years because i wanted something new, but in 7 years of driving my Trajet i never experienced that feeling.
To make sure that i will have the same amount of driving pleasure in the coming years i bought a new one.
The relatively high fuel consumption (10 ltr at 100km) is covered by a LPG (liqified petrol gas) modification, this fuel costs only 1/3 of what unleaded fuel costs.
Unusual expenses during 210.000 km were:
- seat belt fastener
- airconditioning pump
- broken timing belt.
The timing belt is the only really weak point of the trajet, i hope this will be better with the 2.0 CVVT engine.

I have had mine now since jan 06 and have just come back from my hols in Grimsby , cleethorpes and skegness .
This car is a dream to drive and own and iam really going to miss it when it goes back at the end of the contract (on motability ) .
I managed to get almost 400 miles on a full tank and have done up to now 612 miles on 65 pounds of fuel (GBP) .

Lodas of room as i had to leave the scooter at home and use my wheelchair as we had so much stuff to take , so next time thinking of taking a roof box with us for extra room so we can take scooter with us .

simply superb ,had it for two years now and wouldent swap it, mine is the 2.7 V6 so no worries about lack of power , economical if you dont have a heavy right foot , economy does drop when towing my twin axle caravan though ,

i had my trajet since last 2004, it's a 2000 model with only 68,000 kms. done. first i was hesitant about what the sales agent said about how good the hyundai trajet is, until i took it for a test drive, and i was surprised how good the V6 engine was, it's only a 2.7 ltr., but sure does the job. even on full load, 7 people on board with some luggage, still runs smoothly.my daughter loved the trajet, she's comfortable with where her seat is. the only bad side i experienced with my trajet is when the speed sensors started to play up.
we already decided to ditch the 'jet because we thought the problem wouldn't be fixed, but thanks to a reputable hyundai dealer near where i live, they fixed the problem.
it may not look as good as an odyssey, or a previa, but i find my 'jet to be different from other people movers. next time i'll post some pics of my 'jet.
i already put an after market exhaust pipe and i love the way it rumbles.

I have had a previa (well a grey import lucida ) and I think the trajet is much better in the looks department.

my 2.7 V6 has just cost me £475 to get through the mot ,
the only thing it failed on was two lamba sensors died so the emissions were out

with two hours labour to replace them and the dreaded government theft they call vat it came to the above

the breakdown of costs were

£80.00 labour
£83.25 vat

so that was £312.oo for two sensors
I still love the car but am fed up with the extortionate cost of things that we are forced by goverments to have on our cars because they

" supposedly help the enviroment ".

( catalytic convertors etc)

next tree hugger I see I am going to run over just to make me feel better

here's a picture of my 'jet.....nothing fancy to it, just all modifications done to it are all DIY. if i have some crazy ideas, i just used the 'jet as my canvass and make sure it looks good. enjoy....
