A big hole has just appeared in my intake manifold next to the thermostat housing.
Has anybody else had a similar problem and how much does a new manifold cost?
Thinking of filling it with aluminium putty, but not expecting the best :-(

this has probebly been caused because the coolant has not been changed at regular service intervals and the water has corroded the alloy, your best bet is to hunt around the breakers yards as l doubt if you will be able to repair it with any success

I ended up removing the thermostat and smeared Devcon Aluminium Putty either side of the hole ( the remaining area was wafer thin)
Several weeks later it is still doing fine with no leaks.

Cant get the heaters to warm up though now :-(
Dont think there is anywhere to bleed the system?
