Hey folks,

Been looking to swap out the factory Hyundai sound deck with something so I can listen to my iPod. Was thinking of a high level Sony...when I went to Best Buy they said that I'd only be able to use by steering wheel audio controls with a Pioneer deck, and only with a special add-on (that would be an extra $100).

I was just curious if anyone has gotten a non Pioneer deck to work with the steering wheel volume/mode controls. (I'd prefer to have someone else do it...but I will do the swap myself if it's the only way to get those buttons working).

Thanks for any help (and I hope I've given enough information. ^^

There are a few other makes that will do it, but you will still need an adapter.
Go to a real car audio shop to get a better idea, or online.
