Hi, I am new on here and am hoping someone may be able to help me.
I have a 2005 Hyundai Elantra GT (hatchback). I bought it new 2 years ago off the lot. After buying the car I installed a JVC cd player (did not care for the factory one), and all went smooth. No problems at all. I've had the JVC player in my car for nearly 2 years now and decided to install a Pioneer cd player in my Hyundai Elanrta (today actually). Here is the problem:

I took the dash off (like before) and conected all the wires to there destinated colors (I'm positive) then I plugged in the 'attenna plug' and turned on the ignition. CD player had no power and would NOT turn on.This was barely the worst of my problems as I soon noticed my clock on my dash was dead. Thinking I blew a fuse on my dash I ran down to the local hardware store that carries fuses, and when I went in to buy them I hit my 'lock' button on my keyless entry to lock doors and sound the alarm---NOTHING, dead too.

I have not noticed any other problems but there might be more. I came home (panicked to be honest) and came on here for advise/help.

Anyone with advice would be greatly appreciated. I know my 'stuff' about wiring, but am NOT mechanically inclined to say the least. Thank you in advanced and I appreciate your time.

I would suggest putting the factory unit back in if you still have it. It would rule out other faulty wiring or fuses. Also, check all of your fuses to see if they are blown. You may have to fuse boxes, one under the hood and one by the driver's side door on the inside.
