I have a 2001 XG300 that makes a "squeaking Noise" coming from the passenger side rear wheel area. The sound goes away once you get to about 35-40mph...any thoughts?

I have the same problem in my otherwise solid car. 31k miles. But I am having problems with the dealer. I even explained the hmaservice.com bulletin. They are not honoring their warranty. What have you guys done to fix this annoying problem???

thanks in advance. :(

I also have a squeaking noise in the right rear wheel well in my 2001 xg300. are you suggesting there is some sort of recall or campaign to fix this. what eventually happened??

Did you get it fixed?

Did the dealer cover it?

Also, I am also have electrical problems.

Burnt out washer motor, blown two fuses in a week (seats and windows)
Coolant sensor light came on--
Air bag warning light came on--

any feedback

the most likely cause of this squeak is that the brake caliper is sticking slightly and causing the brake pad to rub on the disc. the vehicle needs to be jacked up to make sure that the wheel runs freely,if not the caliper needs to be checked. there is no re-call on this as far as l know, this is a common fault on any make of vehicle. another cause of the squeak could be the wheel bearing but this is far less likely. the washer motor problem is not that uncommon either. if you want to change it yourself you will need to remove the right hand front plastic inner wing sheild to locate the motor, you will then see why the motor fails (because it is exposed to all the elements!)
