New luxury hyundai with different marketing name is imminent

V8 4.6L is available with above 300 hp(don't have the exact number)
The base engine 3.8L V6

YOu may be able to see it at new york auto show next month.

It's likely that the Hyundai logo is not going to be on this model. We will see.

Front end (grill) looks like the new Altima, heck the whole thing does. Doesnt look much bigger than the Sonata or Azare either. I thought this was suppose to be the first in thier lux line with some modes? This would be a lux car all the way. Doesn't look like a Camery or Altima.

Here's a site that gives more info on the Genesis - says it will start under $30K!! :w00t:
http://www.automobilemag.com/auto_shows/20...enesis_concept/
Has some info about the Tib's successor possibly using the same V8 engine and platform...wouldn't that be a stormer!

Hmm, just had a thought. If Hyundai truly intends to start pricing for the Genesis at well under $30K, would that mean that they would kill off the Azera and replace it with the Genesis?
It seems suspicious to me, given that they basically stopped all advertising for the Azera and there will be such a huge discrepancy in power and features offered for not all that much difference in price.

There could still be at least $5K between the new car and the Azzy. I bet the under $30K model would be pretty basic, and jump to over $34K with the big options.

It seems like this vehicle is going to considered luxury.
I'm not sure about it being under 30000 but it would cool if that's the case.
I would expect more than 30000 though since it's categorized as luxury.
It has stronger and 25% to 30% still lighter chassis than bmw 7 series.

Seems like Hyundai made a business decision to stop being apologetic for the past.

GOOD. It's definitely about time.

Id drive it, and I would take perverse pleasure in laughing in the faces of people who asked why my camry looks so different.

I cant wait to see what it looks like in person and how much it will end up costing.

The base model will be V6 equipped. I would look for top of the line to hit close to $40k, especially with nav (which is supposed to be available soon). That is still less expensive than the equivalent Lexus or even an equivalent 300C.
