it all depend on how much snow you are having. It is always best, to have a set of snow tires, at least the two up front.

I live in South Dakota and we are just having our first good snow storm> Yesterday was the first time I had a real chance to try my "04 XG350L in the snow and slick roads. I had previously put 1.5 million miles on 13 Accords and I must say I think the traction and slick road cornering is better in the XG. I do not however, like the positioning of the emergency brake. With a foot peddle brake one cannot safely lock up the rear brakes in order to correct a skid. With the brake as a handle between the front seats you can and I have many times with Accords.

I have a 2001 XG 300 (It has the smaller 3.0 L engine). I live in Alberta and we get a lot of snow up here. We don't use salt on the roads, so the snow and ice build up is extensive. The car handles very well under these conditions. The traction system and selectronic are particularly helpful on icy roads. The dealer provided wipers don't work very well when there is ice build up - I'd replace them.

light snow the car is fine.

as for snow tires, you are better off with either none, or all 4. just putting two on the drive wheels is suicide.
