1/10/2008 Edit: I've lost my web hosting for my pictures. If you need pics please PM me and I will send them to you.Honestly, this is about the simplest and best upgrade you could possibly do if you have a 2006 Azera. It took me literally 5 minutes to do. It took me more time to take the pics and do this write up. Tools You Need: 1 Average Size Philips Screw Driver 1 Torx Head Size 40 (this is pretty large) (IMG: http://www.engineeringpeople.com/test/DSC_2499_DxO.jpg) First off, I'm not liable if you break your car, deploy your airbags, etc, you do this at your own risk. This is a guide only, consult your dealer or other competent mechanic if you aren't comfortable messing around in the air bag area. Step 1: Put your key in and bring your steering wheel all the way forward and down to give you more room to work with. You'll have to leave the key in the ignition in the off position to keep the wheel from retracting. At this point I'd recommend disconnecting your battery for safety sake. I did not, but if you're concerned do it. You'll lose all your presets and seat memory settings etc. Step 2: Use the #40 torx bit to loosen the screws to the airbag/horn/plastic cover. I cocked my steering wheel slightly in each direction to get more light into the hole and keep the stalks out of the way when loosening the screws. The two torx screws are straight into the holes, perhaps just slightly offset. There is an internal clip on the screws, you can't loosen them too much, so don't worry about losing them. (IMG: http://www.engineeringpeople.com/test/DSC_2495_DxO.jpg) (IMG: http://www.engineeringpeople.com/test/DSC_2496_DxO.jpg) Step 3: Gently pull the cover out of the way. DO NOT disconnect any wires. This assembly contains your horn, airbag, etc. There is enough cord to rest it gently on your lower portion of the steering wheel. (IMG: http://www.engineeringpeople.com/test/DSC_2483_DxO.jpg) (IMG: http://www.engineeringpeople.com/test/DSC_2484_DxO.jpg) Step 4: With the cover out of the way, remove the two gold philips head screws holding the controls down. Save the screws for later, you'll need them to reattach the 2007 controls. (IMG: http://www.engineeringpeople.com/test/DSC_2481_DxO.jpg) Step 5: Press down the tab on the bottom right side of the connector and gently pull the controller assembly away from the harness (IMG: http://www.engineeringpeople.com/test/DSC_2487_DxO.jpg) (IMG: http://www.engineeringpeople.com/test/DSC_2486_DxO.jpg) Step 6: Attach new controls to old harness. The plug is identical and it snaps right in. Align the controls with the two notches on top and put the old screws back in. Tighten them sufficiently, but don't over do it or you could crack the plastic. Step 7: If you disconnected your battery, hook it back up for testing. Turn the key to accessory, verify mode, track up, track down, volume up, volume down, and mute all work. Step 8: Once you verify the buttons all work its time to put the airbag/horn/cover back on. It helps here if you have the battery disconnected. I honked the horn on accident a few times when aligning and pressing the cover back into place. Move the two screws out of the way as shown. (IMG: http://www.engineeringpeople.com/test/DSC_2490_DxO.jpg) (IMG: http://www.engineeringpeople.com/test/DSC_2494_DxO.jpg) Step 9: Align the cover, it will seat itself back in place with a little effort. Tigthen the torx screws, when they become tight, give them a little extra turn to make sure they are tight. You don't want your airbag coming off the wheel in an accident. Step 10: Once everything is back in place, start up the car, test your buttons, horn, turn the wheel, and make sure your airbag light isn't on. Thats it, you're done. Enjoy not reaching to the radio to change a track.

can you also tune the receiver with the "track up/down" buttons or do they only work with the cd player?
