Hi

Can any one give me a reference or part number for the oil filter for a getz 1.4 gsi auto?

Also can anyone explain the term ..'check all systems with Hi-Scan' ?
This term appears in service schedule.

Thanks Binkie

l can't give you the part number you want but you should not need it, there is a aftermarket filter (called blueprint which is the same make that hyundia use) and a decent parts shop will be able to look it up for you or get it from your dealer. the scan check is done by your dealer to check that all electrical systems are working correctly and that no faults are present

i think just about anything you use in aus (from 5W-20 to 20W-50) should be ok. if it freezes overnight where you are, i'd say go at least 15W for the cold rating.

i used 10W-40 Magnatec for my last oil change and it runs just fine.

the manual says 5W-20, right? i couldn't find anything in that. those low viscosities are usually fully synthetic. i prefer mineral oil changes ...

trading my Getz in tomorrow or thursday for a 2nd hand camry... its just getting too small.
