Hi there,

I own a Hyundai Starex Van and I would like to ask some assistance regarding my Starex Van. I keep seeing the HOLD indicator just right below the fuel gauge after running for 5 to 10 minutes from cold start. I got so worried and got scared something wrong may happen so I tried changing my gear oil/engine oil. Still the HOLD indicator appears everytime I use my vehicle. I don't know what this indicator means. I can't even understand the car manual because it's written in korean. Please help me regarding this one. What does this HOLD means?

Hi Jeff,

I only came across your post just now. I have exactly the same problem with my starex and the HOLD indicator light. I just want to find out if you were able to resolve this since your post. I already had my whole transmission assembly replaced and still the HOLD light indicator keeps on blinking.

Thanks,

Arnold, Philippines
