There have been a lot of great tips and tricks posted in this forum, but they are spread all over the place and can be hard for new people to find. I thought we could use this post to put all our finds in one spot. Here are the existing ones I could find:

Auto Lock – you can have your dealer program your doors to lock automatically once the car hits 20km/h or 12mph

License Plate Rattle – to keep your rear plate from rattling when you close the hatch remove the plate and use double sided tape and attach a sponge or put a layer of silicone on the back of the plate.

Wiper fluid nozzle adjustment – very carefully put a pin in a nozzle to re-direct the aim of each individual nozzle.

Rear Wiper – The rear wiper will go into an intermittent wipe once it does three full steady wipes

Easy Radio Turn On – Sound system will turn on if you hit the AM, FM1, FM2 or CD button

CD Track Scan - scan forward and backward through individual CD and MP3 tracks using the ">>" and "<<" buttons below the 1 and 2 buttons.

Plus I just discovered this one today while sitting in the car:

Radio Controls – The radio pre-set channel control on the steering wheel can also be used to seek (hold down the up or down button for about 2 seconds and it will search for the next station with a signal) and search (hold down the up or down button and the radio dial will fast forward/reverse until you let go).

I noticed that on the Hyundai service website. Wonder how much that handheld re-programmer thingy costs? :whistling:

A good dealer should not charge you since your car is new.

^ That's what I've heard too. Some people ask for it to be done when they take it for an oil change. It's so quick that only greedy dealer would charge for.

When I had mine done they did it for free when I took it in for my first oil change. Be careful though - someone else said their dealer had to charge them 1 hour labour to do it. My oil change and re-programming took less than 30 minutes.
