Hi guys..

I have a 94 Lantra (manual) and it wont go into reverse.. Some friends told me that the gearbox has dropped.. Some other friends said that it needs oil??? If so.. How do i do these things.,. or should i just go to the mechanic??

Any help would be great

first of all you need to check if there is any wear in the gear lincage (from the gear lever to the gearbox) if this checks out o/k then you have an internal problem in the gearbox, lack of oil is a very unlikely cause

Just got back from my mechanic.. He's said the same thing.. Just waiting on the call to find out the cost involved.. Thanks For your help
