I wonder if anybody has any suggestions about this. My 2003 Terracan Diesel Auto has the automatic climate control fitted. I set the temp to 21C in either auto or manual mode and it warms up as it should. It then cuts the heat but continues to blow cool air. The problem is that it never turns the heat back on unless I keep increasing the temp all the way up to the max of 32C. I have checked this with a thermometer and the cut of temp is spot on.
Any help would be appreciated!

Yes my 2003 Diesel T-can does this too. I was thinking that, as the temperature sensor is under that short slot on the left hand side just at the bottom of the windscreen (at least I think it is), maybe it gets too hot from being too exposed to such sun as we get in the same way that it gets hot inside a greenhouse. So I was going to experiment by sticking a piece of card to the glass so that the slot was in shadow but that was before my camshaft rotation sensor failed, followed by the heater matrix springing a leak so I guess it will have to wait until I get the rest of the car working properly.

I have tried blocking the sensor as well and as I get the problem when it is dark this points to a sensor fault. As always the dealer says the computer cannot find a fault, I wish we had mechanics who looked at the fault not the computer screen.
