Gotta love people who can't see the REAL problem. Banning guns will not stop criminals from shooting innocent people. The corny bumper sticker is true- "when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns". You know how to stop this violence? MUCH stiffer punishments for these idiots, as almost all of them have a record already. I strongly feel that if you are convicted of a violent crime, thats it, time for that person to be killed. They're just wasting tax money sitting in a jail cell. Along with that its time people stopped being concerned with criminal rights, we're dealing with a POS who killed a police officer here in NH and his lawyer is claiming he won't get a fair trial in NH... GOOD! He deserves to be put to death. If we bring back public executions I bet society would straighten up real fast....

Thanks, both have Hogue wrap-around grips on them, they have them for most handguns and are less than $20 usually. On the Sig I just needed to fatten up the grip to fit my big hands better, and on the S&W, I'm sure the rubber helps a bit with the recoil :D The Sig also has a set of night sights installed and I may splurge and have it refinished with a dark green frame, we'll see...

I have the Sig P239 .40S&W with Hogue grips. Sweet gun. Sigs rule. Guess my pics on this thread timed out or something.

I have a Kimber Custom Tac II, that my wife got me for Christmas a couple of years ago. Gotta love her. It is a full size 1911, so a bit large for concealed carry. I use a Colt Defender .45 to carry. Both are great handguns and extremely accurate and dependable.

mmm I like Kimbers, they make some nice looking guns. Though its hard for a 1911 to not look awesome :D A nice 1911 is on my want list, along with a Sig P220 compact and a CZ-75.

Even my XD45 is large for carry ... I'm looking real close at an XD45 Compact (4 inch) or possibly an XD Sub-Compact (3 inch). If I opt for the 3" I'd probably go 9mm vs. the S&W .40. Probably a much easier load to control in such a small package.

I might have asked in this thread before, but I'm too lazy to look ... what does everyone use for concealed carry ? I'm currently using the SmartCarry setup.

I carry my 229 in a Galco Concealable OWB holster, works fine so far, warmer weather will take some re-working though.

Good luck with that, the .45 GAP isn't the traditional .45 round, and bulk ammo around here is hard to come by in that load.

I work like 4 miles from the Sig factory, and I took a course last winter at their training school, pretty cool group of people. And yes, Sigs are **** expensive!

May have to start saving for that baby. The more I look at it the more I want.
I used to come up to Grantham (South of Lebanon) a good bit....Ex-wifes folks had a place on the lake......love it there. Learned to ski there (Sunakee) Great times.

Sunapee (you were close!) is a nice area, though pretty much anywhere north of Concord is nice because its so undeveloped. Sig is out in Exeter, near the coast. We got a lot of the manufacturers here. Sig, Colt, Ruger, Smith and Wesson are all in the northeast :D

Yeah, if you're stuck on Glock you might want to get their .45 ACP vs GAP. ACP is everywhere and used by lots of guns. The GAP (Glock Auto Pistol) never quite made it around the power curve I don't think. Mike's right - you'll pay big bank for that GAP ammo compared to the ACP. But if you don't plan on shooting it a lot I don't guess it would matter all that much ... unless they quit making it all together.

Not stuck on a Glock at all...never even shot one. Just would like a smaller lighter pistol to carry...With DA/SA. I really have my eye on that Sig now....Although it's not all that light...And very pricey. I really like Sigs. I like the .380 also. I just saw that Glock and did'nt really know anything about the ammo. You guys have chaised me away from that idea. I like the feel of my Taurus and it weighs all of nothing..But I don't like DA after the first pull. My Sig is sweet but it just weighs so much...maybe if I try one of those carries you showed madder.
