Hello People !
I desperately need to find affordable web hosting
but I also need it to be a cheap web hosting because
I don't want to spend a lot of money on my personal site. So if anyone knows about a reliable and cheap web site hosting service please respond.
I'll appreciate any information I can get.
Thanks.

A few questions first.

1. Are you going to need a domain name too, or just space and don't care about the name ?

2. Any specific features you're looking for, like databases ?

3. How much space do you plan on needing and what kind of bandwidth do you think you'll need ?

4. How much is "too much" ?

I've used quite a few over the years and know of a couple that stand out from the crowd, depending on what you're wanting.

well you could use .Mac Apple Computers Site , its $99 a year, with 1 email accnt, and it has a FTP/ Web share file server too all included.

All you have to do is, www.mac.com try it out for free (RISK FREE) for 30days. you can create, on your own application or used the supplied ones on the site, and just upload it. Doesnt matter where you make the site at, on their site, or by using iWEB (by apple) or Microsoft Front Page.

I have my site currently on there...jsut a small family site.

its 1GB of space, and you delagate the size for each application. If you want 900Megs for Web and only 100 for the Email...etc you change the file sizes as much as you want for the space you use.

Just try it out. See if you like it. and you can purchase it right off line too.

I like freewebs it's not a professional grade setup or anyting too fancy, but with a bit of work you can do whatever you need to do on it.

I actually have a real crappy little site on there, My Webpage

That doesn't look like a bad deal at all if the only thing you have to put up with is their little FreeWeb image at the bottom, plus they offer 40MB of storage and 500MB of bandwidth.

I have been using ace-host.net for my webhosting and website clients for a few years now. The service is reliable, fast and they offer alot for the $8.99 per month fee. Their cpanel offers a host of quick install features.

I like hostexcellence.com
I have never had a problem and their servers have never been down during the two years I have been with them

I'm using the express plan
1 domain name
up to 20 subdomains
5gb disk space
50gb bandwidth
email addresses and more
2.95 per month for the two year plan

its been great and I would highly recommend it. I found it looking at a list of the top ten web host companies, two years ago these guys were in second place, now I don't see them on the list anymore, but the quality os their services and customer support as remained exceptional
