My new 2006 Terracan 2.9crtd has a flat spot on the accelerator pedal. When I press the pedal the revs build up slowly. OK when moving off slowly but not very funny when changing from 1st to 2nd gear on fast roundabouts and have to wait for revs to build up. Dealer has changed pedal and acknowledges that there is a problem but doesn't know what to do about it. Please help me as they have lent me a Getz!!

The problem is with the button under the clutch pedal if this pressed down the engine revs as it should. how do I keep this button pressed ? sticky tape does not work. Still like my new car.
