Hi Guys,

I bought a 1999 atoz 1Lr of my brother-in-law about a month ago, the prob is when taking off in 1st or 2nd gear (mainly 2nd), it takes forever to pick up speed even with the accelortor to the board!

sometime whilst driving between 40-609mph you can geel the engine slipping.

could be summit silly, i just dont know what to look for

i recentley got a mate to fit new sparkplugs, i dont know if that wood contribute to my probs.

My cousin reckons I need an engine tune, or even it hooked up to a car diagnostic computer to put the finger on the prob.

I live in belfast, northern ireland.

Garages are so expensive

any hep greatly appreciated

many thanks in advance

l presume your car is manual trans, and if it is it sounds to me that the clutch is worn out and 'slipping'
