Yup if the canster purge valve plug is disconnect it might be in stuck open postion. And that can draw gas from the evap canister and cause a no start condition form gas being drawn to the engine.

Their still might be a problem with that purge control valve being partially opened. Causing fuel to flood motor while filling gas.

I don't smell any gas...... when a i am turning the key .......it sounds like it is starving for fuel
When asked the dealer they told me the same... that sound like the solenoid valve is open..... but i would see the check engine lite with that

That is why I think is mechanical problem
when I checked the canister was no gas smell present there

Wher is the solenoid valve located? I just went to look under my hood and I did not know where to look. I am having a small starting problem with my 2002. If anyone has a picture that would really help/

Thanks!!

This is almost a 3-year old thread and I highly doubt that the OP will be back. However, somebody should chime in soon with an answer.
