Hello from Holland :bwekk:
I noticed the whistling noise at speed > 130 km/hr for the very first time when had my window replaced because of a crack in the glass.
Note that at the time I had my new car for just 2 months, and I did not drive too fast during that period. So it is difficult to say whether the problem has always been there, or was introduced after the first replacement of the window.
The dutch company "Carglass" who's the icon in carglass replacement, put a new window in, including new rubber sealants.
Week later, driving too fast again  I noticed the noise for the very first time.
Luckily "Carglass" gives us long-life guarantee on their replacements, so I went back.
They replaced the window for the second time, but the problem occurred 1 month later, again while driving fast with heavy winds.
So I went back for th 3rd time this week, but this time one of the experts told me they found the rootcause of the whistling.
Rootcause: the rubber sealants, as mentioned by Driver, when mounted between window and frame are HOLLOW. Air will enter the front grill, pass under the hood, and enters the the hollow rubber at the entrance point both left and right of car (the location as indicated in Driver_RF's photo).
Solution: Fill up the 2 entrance points with approx. 5-10 cm of foam. In simple words: "just close the doors".
I took the highway and went up to 160 km/hr. So far so good, the noise has not returned (yet).
