I have a 94 hyundai Elantra with a automatic trans. until now it was working fine but lately it has been shifting from 1st to 2nd very hard. and sometimes downshifting. iwas wondering if anyone else has this problem or if u could help me :57:

Try having the trans fluid flushed and replaced. If that doesn't fix it you have some permanent damage which will require an overhaul.

:beer: just had mine to the service centre ! Same exact problem as yours! cComputer says code PO708 replace the transmision range switch. Apparently this device tells the computer what gear the tranie is in , When it malfunctions the tranie may be in one gear but the computer thinks it is in another and so youi have confused shifting.Have ordered one in so can/t be certian yet but I am hopeful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
