I am looking to buy an Azera. I've heard that the prices will drop a little bit in October/November when the dealerships get their new models (next year) and so they want to get rid of the current models. IS this true? How much can I expect to save if I wait two-three months?

Too bad I bought my sonata last year. I would jump all over this

Not according to a sales rep from Fitzgerald Auto Mall. There was no reason for him to lie to
me................. Fitzgerald pay them a fixed salary not commission. Thats why there is no pressure
or low selling tactics. Anyway, while I was waiting to sign papers on my wife's new
Town&Country we discussed Hyundai rebates and incentives (they also sell Hyundai). This guy
told me that Hyundai has a tendency of holding considerably their rebates in the months of Oct
and Nov. According to him, the best month in terms of incentives is August.

If this kid lied to me...............then I was fooled because today I call him to assist me buying an
Azera. Yep I trade-in my 06 Sonata. Well I got a nice deal.............. I think. This
My New Azera Deal plus another $500 Loyalty discount.
That is $4500 below the MSRP not bad. I bought my Sonata for $20K and got $17.2K of
trade in value after 8 months of use.

Any way going back to the question..........the same thing was explained by a member in the
Sonata 06 forum. I think he works for a Hyundai dealer. Basically the rational is............. they
don't get much from Hyundai during those months therefore they can pass those savings to the
buyers. And yes........................ the last day of the month is the best day to buy a car. I was
the last customer tonight and I was able to hear the sales manager giving a telephonic report on
this month sales to someone. They did not reached this month goals and he started to explain
why. His excuse was ................a new road construction close to the dealer.

Actually... about a months ago was the best time to buy this year.... Anyways, November, December and January are the WRONG time to buy. Hyundai goes into "Shut down mode" meaning we don't get a ton of dealercash, and the incentives are nothing special. Honestly this month or September would be good, October could be stretching it, and if you wait too long you could end up not being able to buy the one you want.

BTW untill the new year rolls around, no dealer is DYING to get rid of last years stock, simply because everyone is looking for a "Left over" because they think it is a great deal.

I really don't think the Azera will come down in price in Oct or Nov. Maybe in December to push out the old 2006 and make way for the 2007 models. I wonder how many 2006 Azera models were produced? My dealer only has 6 in his lot at all times. Since there wasn't much advertisement on the car the past few months maybe the demand isn't what HYundai expected thus they produced less cars.

I feel the 2007 Azera will have more advertisement outherwise the car will be a lame duck. For so much car they need to get the car out there. All ads currently are about Sonata.. not that Sonata is a bad car but Azera is much more attractive to consumers who want a big, powerful, yet nice car and still save money over the Avalon, BMW, Ford 500 and others.
