Whether it's in your head or in my car, I have already installed them and they are working fine for me and a lot of other brothers and sisters here. Have you tried it yourself? No? Then I rest my case.

Aside to Joseph, yeah nice theory but then again, it's still theory until you tried it. Hehe... :P Ok man, will see you on the streets but how do I know which is your Xiao Bai???

How can you ask me a question and answer it yourself?? I have not tried them in my own vehicles. Why you ask? Because I know for a fact that they do not work. I live in Las Vegas, home of the Shelby garage and technology center. Well, a good friend of my does the dyno testing out there and has tested this product in his 07 ford f-150. After installing the vortex device he actually lost 1 - 2 hp at the rear wheels.

Its a hoax, similar results came out of a nissan 240sx. The only reason to cram something into your intake lines is to hinder airflow. Do you really believe that creating this swirling effect is going to increase the airflow? I'll admit, to the average consumer this sounds like a gift from the gods but if you are serious about modifying your vehicle for performance then your first upgrade can be pulling that thing out of your intake hose.

Now, you do what you want. I am by no means trying to dictate or personally attack your ego, merely I am giving you factual information. Either way, enjoy your Hyundai.

K & N intakes are known to increase airflow which increases performance overall. I personally always run K & N systems, not really for the performance but for the resuability. Living in the desert I save a ton of cash on airfilters being able to clean and reuse my k & n.

But, as far as performace its a much better choice than a vortex insert.

enfurno,
thanks for that piece of mind there.

Any suggestions to the Matrix guys here, to better performance while saving gas/petrol at the same time?

Hi there,
Wah I can't really advise you because I'm not a car guru. But I can simply explain in lay man terms for you.

1. Voltage Stabiliser & Grounding - It is suppose to regulate the smooth supply of current to the the major electrical parts of the car. This is reduce the stress on the battery and makes these parts work more efficiently. It is known to prolong the lifespan of the battery and improve on the FC. This is usually done through the process called 'Grounding' or 'Earth Cabling' using grounding cables. I'm using gold plated ones.

5 common grounding parts are:
a. Car body
b. Firewall (on car body. between engine and driver)
c. Distributor
d. cylinder head
e. alternator

If you have a 6th cable, like mine, I would ground it to my auto transmittor.

My brand: Deizin

2. Circuit Breaker -  Purpose is to protect all your circuits in the car in any event of a electrical overload. Rare to happen but you never know. When it does happen, all you need to replae is your spark plug which cost you a few dollars only.

My brand: CarLink (Not known brand)

3. SR Typhoon - This is actually an Air Boost System which has the following qualities:

a. Improves the torque of your car from low to mid range RPM.
b. Better efficiency for your rides
c. Improves FC with better combustion --> reduce harmful CO emission
d. Reduce engine noise

Let me know if you wanna look into distributionship in your country. This really works.

My brand : SR Typhoon lah!

4. Simota Air Filter - Air Filter no need to explain right? The good thing about this is that the air filters can be use for years because it is made of stainless steel. Every now and then just take it out to air clean it and do some oiling. The air flow will be much better as well.

5. CAI - Cold air intakes route intake plumbing away from hot underhood areas, and deliver air through a free-flowing air filter and smooth intake passages. Hence cooler, denser air is delivered in greater quantities at higher velocities to your throttle body. Denser air, and more of it, equals power.

What I've done is DIY. You can get those brand like K&N ones which will cost you a lot more.

Ok that's all for now... nin peh feel like a teacher suddenly... but do check up the net for more info on these things before installing.  :)

IMO, the only thing that is useful that u have include and well done that u have is the CAI and ur new simota filter. The typhoon is kinda useless... other then giving more air resistance to the intake... the "twisting" would also lose its effect by the time it enters the trottle body.

Try to improve ur CAI to ur air intake... heat shielding the exit pipe is good... if u can heat shield the intake pipe... it will be best. and link another pipe from the grilles to flow cold air into the intake pipe... ultimate.

other options are to use a hybrid setup using SCC with CAI... and also heat shielding the extractor... i realise our babies are real hot under the bonnet.. this part is one of the culprits responsible for it.

Oh yah... voltage stab and circuit breaker.... Vstab is good if u have ICE on board... cct breaker? its a good to have.

cheers
