Hi ive got the 94 manual but doesent say the horsepower and kilowatts any body know??? thanks.

64kW at the flywheel I believe which is about 86HP.

i've just bought the 92 xcel non sprint.
what would be the hp on that and is it a 1.3 or 1.5?

Dear scuzzy,

I have to base my answer from US Spec information. In the US, the 1992 Excel had the 1.5 liter engine. It should be rated at 64Kw and 86 Hp since the displacement of 1,468 cc, bore of 75.5 mm, stroke of 82 mm, and compression ration of 9.4 are the same for both the '94 and '92 Excel.

You are absolutely right that the manual doesn't say, as the US manual also does not list the Kw or Hp. US manual attached.

hi Byron . thanks very much for the detailed info. was very curious weather it b 1.3... didn't like the fact it matched runs nose to nose with a echo. but 1.5 is much betta. how well are u familiar with the xcel mechanical parts beside the engine. i've just heard about the 4g63t engine which really raise my brow
