I have an Azera 2006 and the other day in city driving I stepped on the gas to downshift and accelerate, but the tranny revved up to 6000 RPM and the car went no faster. Let the accelerator up and retried and all seemed normal. The feeling was like you get when a manual tranny slips out of gear. Any Ideas you who are technically gifted?
Thanks in advance

I have an appointment for monday pm.

Now the car behaves normally, it was probably some electronic glitch that should have caused a code to be issued, I think the tranny got confused, but why?

Will keep you all posted.

Got back from the dealer who couldn't find a problem since no light came on the dash and therefore no code was issued. He thinks like me that the tranny got confused, the only thing I ask is why and how, so far no answer !
