I have a '93 Lantra 1.8 4 door and the dirver's side door window winder mechanism has stripped (the winder crank just goes round and round). I took the door panel off and had a look, the window winder seems to operate with these wierd cable things that pull the window up and down. Is it repairable and how do you get the thing out of the door? Do you have to pull the entire window winder and track out?

the window winder assembly is a complete part, you do not have to remove the door as stated above, just be careful that you support the window glass before you detatch the window lift, you can then replace the winder and cables as a compleat unit
