Believe it or not, I have just driven my Atos 4000 kilometres from the UK to where I live in Russia. I thought it would be a nightmare, but I was very impressed with the car.

BUT.......while trying to register the car here in Russia I have come up against a serious problem.....I cant find the engine number on the car. This is madatory for registration in Russia. I just cant see it, and the customs people have impounded my car beacuse I cant show them where it is. If I dont come up with it in a few days thay are going to take my car...which as you can imagine I am none too keen for them to do.

SO I am BEGGING anyone with an Atos to explain to me where the **** it is. The logbook say 'unknown'...thanks alot!!! I am clueless about engines so an idiots guide would be better please.

The car is a left hand drive one (originally Dutch) but was registered in the UK and is on a UK plate at the moment.

You wouldn't believe the stress this has caused me...after 3 and a half days on the road .. sleeping in the car I might add.. I nearly decked the customs guy when he said that he was impounding the car!!!!

In desperation.....Steve

Well, seems like there are no Atos owners on this forum.....never mind fortunately I saw a seller on Ebay with an Atos engine and he went out and looked and kindly told me where the engine number is.
