My favorite MLB teams are as follows: 1) The Cubs - I'm a life-long, loyal fan, through thick and thin, through Leon "Bull" Durham losing the ball between his legs and Steve "Goat" Bartman's wretched, uncoordinated attempt to catch a foul ball. 2) Anybody playing against the Yankees or the White Sox. If the Yankees play the White Sox, I root for injuries, extra innings (to tire the teams out and tax their bullpen for the next games) and errors. 3) I must admit that after the Red Sox won it, I got pretty sick of reading Bill Simmons' (The Sports Guy) columns in ESPN the magazine, because he was gushing about the d@mn Red Sox for about 8 straight months. Yeah it's great that they won, but he must assume (wrongly) that everyone else in America is as happy about it as he is. The same goes for White Sox fans, although most of them are not literate enough to spell ESPN, much less write a biweekly column for that publication. I think also that maybe they're starting to recognize that they are the only ones happy about the success of their team that plays in a concrete toilet bowl a stone's throw away from Gary, IN (armpit of the nation and hometown of the screwed-up Jackson family). So really, they don't have much in common with Mr. Simmons, other than the fact that I wish they would shut up and/or go away, already.
