Getting codes P0605 and P2110

I was driving today the car just lost all power and the check engine light went on. So I pulled over and turned off the car and turned it back on and the car drove fine. Went home and plugged in my code reader and got these two codes
P0605 = Internal Control Module Read Memory (ROM) Error
P2110 = Throttle Actuator Control System - Forced Limited RPM

Anyone have this problem before? I'm probably going to take it to the dealer to see what they find but I'm running a Nameless charge pipe, downpipe, midpipe, and short ram intake, do you think they can blame the problem on the parts I put in? I was going to take it into the dealer with all my Nameless parts on, is that a good idea?

Not every dealer is an idiot, but some are. The Nameless parts you have would not cause a problem unless they actually damaged the parts ( i.e. you installed something that rubbed wires that shorted or broke ). Items that you put on that cause the problems you have to pay for; any items not related to the aftermarket parts still have their warranty intact. It's fair for both parties.

Sucks, you may still have to stand up to them about it, regardless. Just because they are supposed to do the right thing does not mean they will do so easily or willingly. good luck.

Well I took it to the dealer today and guess what? They are blaming the aftermarket parts. Talked to them, they are telling me that the aftermarket parts tripped the codes and that they can't work on it unless it happens when the car has stock parts. They are blaming the charge pipe and exhaust parts. This is what they wrote in the service notes:

Technician scanned and found codes P0605 and P221
TSB is available 13FL001 vehicle has aftermarket parts
unable to do update due to multiple aftermarket parts on vehicle

Anyone got any info on this?

Im getting the same codes and Im not sure whats causing it I even got the O2 bung, but still the same problem I am placing my current blame more towards sfr pre-tunned ecu. Have you found anything else out?

A little late to remove them now. Hope all turns out OK. I asked the service manager @ my Hyundai dealership if it was alright to install a K&N air filter in place of factory filter, he indicated that that would be fine and would not void factory warranty. I can tell you that the first code thrown on my car, the air filter gets replaced back to stock. I don't trust them to make a call in my favor especially when money is involved.

sounds about the same with me but when I got the tune from sfr (still dont help make excuses and dont get back without badgering them) the codes should have been cleared and stayed cleared I gave them all the mods I did before hand plus I let the car get fully warm after I put the ecu

Did you ever figure out what was causing this problem? I'm getting the same problem.
I know it's a little late but I never figured it out. But it has been over a year now from when I got the codes last and I have not gotten them again. I know this winter I did use my auto start a lot more and was not hard on the gas when I knew the engine temp was low. You find out what was causing the problem?

2110 --> Clean the throttle plate real good along with body' bore

0605 --> Little more involved.. remove paint from ground connection for negative cable to body beside battery..

Remove paint from ground lug surface at frame rail (left side)

Remove paint from ground lug mounting at right side

------------------------------------------------------

Paint is an insulator !! Not a "conductor" !!

Popped both **** codes today. This time the car was at normal running temp, it was really cold out about 5°F. I was hard on the gas from a stop and popped the codes. Anyone find anything on this?

Also, sbr711 where is that ground lug you got pictures of? I looked around and couldn't find it. What year and engine type that is in that picture?

Forgive my old / fading memory,, I did not transpose your DTC proper.. P2110

I reported my own post for the error of my way,, hopefully somebody change it for me so it reflect correct DTC

Location?

Hi sbr711,
Those are great pictures! Could you be more specific on the locations?
I have a 2012 Sonata 2T and I am getting the P2101 code. I lose all power but then I reset the code and it runs well some times for days sometimes for hours.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Thanks again,

Thanks for the insights. I had the same lost of power experience, and the engine kept running, except the rpms would not go over 1000 - 1100; car did not start again. The garage AAA towed my car to said it was my "PCM" computer (codesPO605D, P2110) This is the first forum or website I have found that even mentions P2110. Anyway, I am having it towed to Hyundai dealer. Let you know what I find.

BTW: From the symptoms, I thought it was the catalytic converter, or a potato in my tailpipe;)

I threw both of these codes yesterday on the highway, along with P0106 "Internal Control Memory Check Sum Error." I fixed them by disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 10 minutes, then reconnecting it. It reset my PMC, cleared the CEL, gave me back full power, and I was on my way. Although the PMC did spend some time "relearning" when to shift and some other oddities.

I figure it happened because I'd jump started the car 5 times in the last 2 days (long story) and had just replaced the battery further up the road. I drove it 2 hours before it threw the CEL, though. I was a little hard on the gas trying to pass, maybe that pushed it over the edge.

In any case, it's been 2 days with multiple starts and various types of driving, and it hasn't happened since. I was gonna take it to the dealership anyway, so I might as well ask them about it when I get there. Totally stock car, they'll have no excuses with mine. :p
