Ethanol cost is 10 percent out of pocket

.. not to mention what it costs in subsides ..

I HATE Ethanol!

been running corn liquor gas for 3000 miles
averaging 29-30 mpg corrected

the last two tanks I've been running
old fashioned 90 octane without the corn squeezin's
..now, averaging 33-34 mpg corrected.

so, that's about a 10 percent improvement..
.. but around here, it costs about 10 percent more..

aaaaggggghhhhh....
I HATE Ethanol...
.. the **** crooks should be dragged out and forced to drink a tankful of it..

bah humbug...

I have a list of ethanol free gas stations in GA and yes, the car runs better on good ole gas, not the subsidized corn BS they forced us to use!

Isn't it better for the farmers to get a few extra bucks then some unstable dangerous oil rich dictatorship.

Winter gas in the north isn't so bad ; not need to worry about gas line antifreeze.
But yeah the economy/performance hit is quite noticable ; be glad you don't drive an SUV.

No, it is not. And that really doesn't happen, either. Using our land farmland to make a fuel that will be forgotten about, rightfully so, in ten years, is not worth it. Since we all eat, guess we will just import all of our food from overseas, too. Considering most of our oil comes from Canda and Mexico third, I'm ok with our neighbors doing ok with money. And guess what, we make a lot of oil oursleves. Most of our housewares come from China, ( communist ) and Taiwan ( China's Puerto Rico ).

It is not some haggard farmer, riding his horse, collecting with his tractor. It is HUGE comapnies, with a few machine operators, that grow it, have the machine collect in, smash it up and make fuel juice ( I greatly simplfied this ). That huge company does not need my money, including tax dollars, for me to get less mpg and to cause problems with older fuel systems.

Short version: Ethanol blended fuels suck.

Was referring to the whole corn aspect of things, but it made a lot more sense in my head than when I typed it.
