First pics I've found:

2014 Hyundai Sonata Release Date, Review and Price

Sounds like no changes to power train.

Looks like someone photoshopped a i40 front end onto a american SE model with some other random sonata pics thrown in.

Dr. the title is misleading. Don't see Hybrid anywhere in the article. Hyundai seems to be fashionably late with their hybrids.
Available for sale
2011. Apr 2011
2012. Jan 2012
2013. Apr 2013

Yeah, its looking more fishy to me too.
Only the burgundy Sonata appears to have a Hybrid logo.

The more I navigate around this site, the weirder it looks what with the garbled syntax and omission of major brands.
For example, the dropdowns include GM but curiously omit Ford.
Some of the Toyota models don't seem to be ones offered in the US either.
We probably shouldn't rely on it.

Should've done more homework before posting this info

Yea I was wondering about naming the Sonata - serious music
as the Sonata is called i40 elsewhere. Check out who wrote the article

Also, if you go back to the article, hover your mouse pointer over the red car picture, then look at the link text that shows up at the bottom of your browser - the picture is of a 2012 Hybrid!

Based on those shots, I guess we can thank European driving regulations for wrecking a good car nose again! I dislike these upright grills that are required for pedestrian impact protection!

This preview did not contain any info on the hybrid.
Since they have such a low Cd (.25) can't imagine Hyundai messing with the hybrids too much.

Agree with jglopic on the front end in the spy photos.

The Velostar turbo provides the same fuel economy as the current 2.4 engine with less size and slightly more power. The ICE is not efficient at low speeds but attach this to a electric motor and it will compensate where the ICE lacks. At higher speeds the turbo can improve the overall efficiency driving at highway speeds which the battery pack cannot provide for in long durations. This may overall increase the fuel economy numbers past 40MPG depending on configuration and design. However it's all based on how well they can harmonize the turbo charger with the electric motor while placing all the strain onto the transmission.

If this is what the 2015 Sonata hybrid will bring I am quite curious.
