Many are inclined to think that the logo of the South Korean conglomerate Hyundai is simply the first letter of its name. But in actual fact, the letter ’Н’ symbolises two people (a client and a representative of the company) shaking hands.
Thanks Tom, this is insightful. I've always thought Hyundai was trying to bootleg off of Honda's "H" logo back in the days when it was trying to establish themselves.
I was on a committee that was working on the label to put on notebooks indicating a newly released AMD processor was being used. You cannot imagine the amount of time and thought that goes into such a thing. We spent an entire meeting deciding on the type of adhesive to use on the label. Why? Because the base of your palm rests where the labels are placed. Some folks don't care, others do. Intel had a habit of using this incredible adhesive that made it very difficult to remove their label. This was intentional. "Intel Inside" forever, we joked. The Microsoft (XP, Vista, 7, etc.) label would come off cleanly and easily. After talking to customers and doing a sampling of associates both inside and outside the company we decided to go with an adhesive similar to the one used by Microsoft.
And that, friends, is why you can easily peel off the AMD sticker in the palm rest area of an AMD powered notebook, but will need time and adhesive remover to get an Intel sticker off. And now, you know.
