So all those with Nav or 7" screens with 2015 or 2016 Sonata's (NON-HYBRID) gets the update. But we with hybrids are not available yet. But it's sooner.
There is someone asking about 2015 hybrid...absolutely no update will be available for that older setup which is different than the 2015 non-hybrid system. That's why I didn't buy it.
I kind of expected there would be some hold-outs. My guess is Hyundai is trying to get to the majority of its customer base first. and work their way back. Again, this is just an assumption, but I would wager less hybrids were sold overall by comparison, so cater to the masses.
At least the press release acknowledged us: "Hyundai will soon make an announcement about CarPlay and Android Auto upgrades for the following 2016 model-year vehicles equipped with Navigation: Sonata Hybrid, Sonata Plug-In Hybrid, Veloster and Azera"
In theory, this 'announcement' can be that after all, it won't happen. It doesn't specifically say that the release date will be announced, only that something will be announced. Sorry for not being to optimistic...
While I agree that we shouldn't be overly optimistic, but the statement is really really specific on "CarPlay and Android Auto", "Sonata Hybrid/Plug-In Hybrid," and "Equipped with Navigation." If the announcement is indeed not good news, Hyundai would've phrased it a lot differently.
Has anyone gotten an update IF AA will be available for the 2015 Sonata Hybrid? Is it even possible??
