Hello Sonata Hybrid owners,
On the 21st of this month, after a short test run, I decided to purchase not only my first Hyundai car, but also my first Hybrid. I've been wanting to buy one for the past twelve years. I almost bought a Toyota prius several years ago, but decided to wait. Then last year the recalls started to nearly bring Toyota down. I was then going to go with Honda, and they started having recall problems. So quite by accident I came across Hyundai and Kia. It so happened it was right around the 2010 New York International auto show, that I really took an interest in the Sonata Hybrid, and have been hooked since.
I was wondering since the Sonata Hybrid doesn't have a spare tire, have you ever heard of low resistance tries? I was thinking about getting one of those special tires, that are a little smaller then the tires that are found on the car, just in case of a flat, and allow you to go at least 50 miles. I had one on a Volvo I owned once. Never had to use it, during the 20 years I drove it.
But anyway, I was wondering if such tires existed?
One more thing, what's the average waiting time for deliver? I was told 3-4 weeks.
|Yes I guess i am talking about run flats. I just went to google and read a couple of articles, and it seems they've been used for quite a few years. That would be the better option over not having a spare tire. Thanks for the info.|
