For several weeks, my front driver side window was having issues going up and down. I hit the switch and the window would partially drop, and then I'd have to force it down a little more while holding the switch and eventually it would continue on the full way down. To get it back up, I'd have to briefly press down on the window while holding the switch to raise it and it would go all the way. If it was all the way down, I'd hit the inside of my car door while holding the switch up and eventually it would go all the way up.

The parts store said it sounded like the regulator was getting stuck but the motor was fine, so I just bought a new regulator. Installed it today and put everything back together properly but now the motor seems to not be working at all. The other 3 windows go up and down just fine but I can't hear any sort of hum or anything at all when I press the switch for the drivers window. I had the battery unplugged when I unplugged the three connectors from the door and I think it was still unplugged when I reinstalled everything. I ran out of daylight and have no garage to work in so I had to call it quits.

Is it possible the motor was on its last leg too and has gone bad? I figure if a fuse blew then none of the windows would operate.

Take it apart and look at it. Don't just keep on grinding on it until everything in the door is shot like everyone seems to do. It usually is the window run or runs, the rubber gets worn, and either likes to fall out, or the window glass jumps out of it and goes on the side of it instead of the center. It will require new runs to correct. And if you do insist on replacing the regulator assembly, don't buy one of those cheapo aftermarket window regulator assemblies, (chinese) they are junk.
