Info - 2004 Santa Fe 3.5 Intake Manifod Mounts

I just recently went through the process of removing the intake manifold on my 2004 Santa Fe 3.5 to replace the back spark plugs and wires. I found pictures on this site helpful, so I thought I would share ones I had too.

I had trouble getting the manifold off, because a lot of the bolts are hard to see. I took pictures of the back of the plenum and the mounting brackets they go to.

NICE POST

Darn sure wish I would of had that pic about 4 day's ago !

All feel and NO see on those bolts in the back . A mechanics mirror ( or the wife's) and a good light would of been nice . None the less , this is again going to be a good pic for future diyer's

Thanks

Yeah me too. I almost tore the EGR valve off because I didn't get those 2 bolts off and was trying to pry the plenum off. I had to ratchet strap it to get the bolt lined back up when I put it on. Took about 4 hours to get that thing off.

Thank you VERY much. Just going through the process now; about 3/4 towards getting the intake plenum off. This will be a life safer! Any advice on the best type of wrench to get those things back on? Is there a comprehensive post on the procedure of replacing plugs including proper gap, torques, how to determine if coils should be replaced at the same time, etc?
Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!
