Hi, got a 2003 Santa Fe. Its RHD, but want to take it to France for long time, so going to register it out there. Problem is the headlights, how do you make them legal for driving on the right hand side ? I have the deflectors on at the moment, but they are not legal when I register the car in France, I have to get the lights adjusted. Spoken to the UK dealer, they said they dont know, spoke to the french dealer, he said to use tape - which the French MOT people have already said wont let me pass.

Can I just use the adjustment screws on the lights to get the beams angled to the right instead of the left, do I need new lights ? Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately you will need to purchase new light units. My LHD Santa Fe has a serious flare up to the right to illuminate signs that are posted on that side due to driving on the right here. I'm sure it's safe to assume yours flare up to the left as you drive on the other side?

Just curious but how long are you planning on staying in France? Long enough to need to register the car, I see.
