What color is your clutch fluid? Most people don't pay attention to clutch fluid until they have a problem. Take is apart, bleed it, throw away the check valve, etc... like the man says.

It's probably cast iron block with aluminum heads. So I'd rule out the block for now. You'd be lucky if it was head gasket, and not so lucky with warped heads.

Yeah, when I bought my junk car years ago, the fronts were real bouncy and the rears were solid. Made for a really weird ride. I replaced with a nice set of KYBs and it's been great for 100k.
