What? Why does everyone second guess the engineers? CAI are a waste of time. In addition, the hybrids are carefully tuned for mileage. I wouldn't play around with mods on a hybrid.

I ask what exactly is the problem because it might not be a clutch problem.... It could be your clutch hydraulics, which is much easier and cheaper to deal with. So please explain your problem.

There's no danger with gas in the purge valve. Purge valve only allows the intake to suck some gas vapors, a little at a time, once in a while. You'd have a hard time starting a fire.

If you have a code for a MAF sensor, you replace the MAF sensor and you still get the code, then I'm suggesting the wiring harness at the MAF is bad. See if you can find a wiring harness pigtail...
