2016 Elantra had one, 2017 didn't, even has an empty space in that tool container on top of the compact spare. Still can't get the reason why they eliminated tow hooks, some say the towing industry has a strong lobby in congress. Another story I heard from my insurance agent, some guy tried to pull his daughter out of a ditch, guess he didn't have a flashing yellow light on his roof, another person ran into them.

My only interest was getting a kayak car top carrier, Elantra does have a little tab at the rear, but is only suppose to be used as a tie down. Just about every kayak car top I looked at on the web also requires a front tie down, screw it, my Supra got this job, makes her happy, she loves carrying a kayak.

Or maybe they want us to buy one of these with a front steel bumper. Does anyone remember when it was a law that all vehicles have a damage free 5 mph bumper?

Hmm, photo of a Dodge Ram pickup shows up. But gets lost when posted.

Hello I am new to this forum and not sure where to post this as it appears I cannot start a new thread! I am hoping someone can help! I have a 2014 Santa Fe. I need to purchase tow bar but am having difficulty determining the correct model. I have the first model with the tow hitch cover area. I went to the dealership and they said the part is B8061ADU01. In reviewing this part online, it has round bars and is actually below the bumper. I need to make sure that the tow bar I purchase will fit in the bumper, with the hitch connector sticking out of the bumper cover. I have an angled driveway and cannot install below the bumper or it will scrap the driveway. A friend purchased the 2016 Santa Fe with hitch and it has a square profile. Anyone have the correct number? Thanks much!!

Hello Kat, welcome to the forum 00000732

You use the term "tow hitch" so I'm guessing your not in the UK so I don't think I can help you find the correct towbar for your car. You will probably getter a better response to your questions if you post them in the DM Santa Fe forum...link below. Use the "Post New Thread" button on the left, near the top of the page. Hopefully that works for you.

Regards.
Scottie.
