So I had my first encounter with snow recently and I must say that I was disappointed in the stock tires. I have had (3) other front wheel drive vehicles; a 94 Plymouth Neon, 03 Dodge Neon and a 99 Chrysler Concorde and I have never had an issue with snow. However, with the stock tires on the Accent, I had almost no traction on any of the 4 wheels and at one point had the back end fish tail (something that I have never had happen in a Front Wheel Drive [even though I have tried before]).
Has anyone else had a similar experience?
That's what I am planning on doing. Going to ditch the OEM tires as soon as they die and put some Pirelli P-4 All Seasons on the car. I am thinking of going with the General Altimax Artic Tires. Should help in NH.
