I did search for this before submitting....
Having a problem with my 06 Sonata headlights. It appears that when I put the fog lamps or
high beams on the lights dim or flicker. Can't really tell which lamps are dimming/flickering.
Particularly when slowing or taking my foot of the gas. Thinking maybe an alternator problem,
but never seems to occur with low beams. Could it be a bad or marginal lamp???

Thanks in advance

duggar62 is right, you've got the same problem that many of us have. Here's hoping you're still under warranty (60k). The cables alone are over $300, plus who knows how much for labor. I've got the same problem, but it started after my 60k warranty was gone. Now I don't have the money to get it fixed.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I have been to the dealership 6 times now for the same problem. I have opened a case with hyundai usa the last 3 times and my car is still doing the low voltage thing. Its to the point now that I haven't had my car for more than a month at a time. It sucks.

dont bother testing the ground cables. if your battery is OK, then it IS the ground cables.

see my post here for the fix

Not the ground cable.... problem is in the positive cable assembly...

Yes, positive cable. I had a similar issue and dealer replaced the cable under warranty -- and solved the problem.
