I have a 2007 3.3 litre Sonata and just recently heard a buzzing sound coming from what I think is the fuse box area. When in park and neutral (buzz) ....drive and reverse- no buzz.
It is coming from there for sure, or really close by. could be a bad relay perhaps? The trunk keeps popping on its own when the buzzing is there. Buzzes in park and neutral, goes away in drive and reverse... super strange!!!!
It sounds like it must be a circuit associated with the trunk release. I assume this gets disabled when the car is in motion, but powered in P and N.
Is it an electrical buzz (soft, zzzz sort of like a soft welding noise) which might be a loose connection or a harder buzz, like a cheap old fashioned door buzzer which might be a relay?
