My daughter has been learning how to drive on our 2010 Sonata GLS, which stands at about 108k miles.
We've done threshold braking, ABS activation, some higher lateral force slalom-type stuff, etc. Suffice it to say that we haven't gone really easy on the car.
Now, there is a squeak that began at first at low speeds turning left.
The squeak seems to be about one wheel revolution or so (speeds up when our speed increases, slows when the car slows).
After 30-60 minutes of driving around town (city driving and some rural), the squeak happens even when driving straight ahead.
We haven't had any suspension work done on this car. I replaced the rotors and pads on all four corners last summer (and bled the lines).
What are the most probable causes of this (and what are the fixes), so I can start tracking it down.
Describe the "squeak" a little more, and where it is located. More of a rattle or strain sound? My first thought when you said turning left given the mileage would be power steering pump. But obviously that sound would be under the hood.
The noise almost disappeared since it's gotten cold. Does that give any further hints?
Thanks @2010Sonata - Sounds just like 80% squeak, and maybe 20% cheeep. No groaning, straining, rubbing, rattling, clanking, thudding, or screaching.
The squeak is matched to what seems like one wheel revolution, the slower we go (like pulling into a parking space) the longer pause between squeaks, and when accelerating, the squeak increases in tempo proportionately.
As to where it's coming from... I can't really tell, definitely from the front, but I can't tell if it's coming from the driver's or passenger's side. When I'm driving it sounds like it's coming from the passenger's side, and when I'm in the passenger's side it sounds like it's coming from the middle front. Also, if it was the power steering pump, I would think it would make noise turning the wheel even when the car was stopped, is that correct? Because there is no sound when the car is stopped, even when turning the wheel full stop.
Best guess, ... Squeak when turning left, sounds like the right wheel bearing is going.
Turning left puts more force up the right wheel bearing .. thus squeaks
Thanks @avisitor - I will look around on youtube and see what a wheel bearing sounds like when it's going bad. I may have to take it in and have them listen if I can't figure it out beforehand (when the squeak returns).
If it IS a wheel bearing is there anything I can do DIY-style, either to repair it or to address it temporarily? - UPDATE - DISREGARD - I FOUND SEVERAL VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE AND ITS NOT THE SAME SOUND...

Take it to a garage and have the mechanic check it
They should know right away if it is a wheel bearing
I have the exact same problem, squeak when I turn left. Have you found any solutions?
